Joel and Benji Madden perform 'Amnesia' on 'The Voice' in Australia

The Madden Brothers appeared on the Australian version of 'The Voice' this week and treated viewers at home, as well as the studio audience, to a rendition of 5SOS's hit single 'Amnesia'.

Joel and Benji Madden wrote the song for the Aussie pop-punk quartet, but sang it on the popular vocal talent show this week. Tweeting about the performance, the brothers wrote: "That performance of #Amnesia was especially for you, @RonanOfficial (and #5SOS fans). Hope you liked it! #TheVoiceAu."

Back in 2014, 5 Seconds Of Summer's drummer Ashton Irwin explained that getting to work with the Madden brothers was inspiring: "We sort of met them through mutual friends and I guess we're really lucky... it's amazing to be able to work with them. We were looking for the right acoustic song to put on the album. We wanted something special and we heard that song for the first time... it was a big deal for us."

The Madden brothers, meanwhile, praised 5SOS for having such a strong work ethic and told Billboard that they respect the young superstars: "Most bands want to smoke weed and play video games, and they don't."
