Susan Boyle wants to be as big as The Beatles

Susan Boyle has revealed that she hopes to one day garner the same calibre of respect that the Fab Four have today.

The Scottish singer shocked the world, again, after simultaneously topping the charts on both sides of the Atlantic twice in one year, a feat only achieved by two other artists, The Beatles and The Monkees.

Speaking to The Sun, Boyle said: "The Beatles are still around now, their records live on. I hope to be in the same calibre one day.

"I know I've got a lot to do yet though. I'd like to meet Paul. If he ever wanted to perform together, I'd have no problem with it - here I am, baby!"

The ‘Perfect Day’ singer went on to compare meeting Macca to meeting the Pope, a dream she realised two months ago in Glasgow.

"Everybody has their own draw,” Boyle explained. “Meeting the Pope was an entirely different atmosphere, it was a spiritual journey I was on.

"But spiritually, meeting Paul would be up there as well."
