Panic! At The Disco's Brendon wants Rob Zombie-directed music video

Brendon Urie, frontman for Panic! At The Disco, has revealed that he is a huge fan of rock icon and movie director Rob Zombie and would love for him to direct one of his band's videos.

Speaking to Billboard recently, Urie confessed that he caught Zombie's set at Weenie Roast a while back and was really impressed with his style and command of the stage:

“I think this is our fourth Weenie Roast. The first time we played Irvine Meadows was 2006 and Rob Zombie was co-headliner. We played like five acts before him and you’ll have to pardon my language on this cause I’m just quoting Rob Zombie, but we had played and then I watched his set because I freaking love Rob Zombie. I’m watching him and he goes, ‘Yeah, you know, I’m sick and tired of this fucking scene, a bunch of tight-pants, fairy-looking fa---ts.’ I was terrified and then I was like, ‘I love this guy. Awesome, you are such an evil rock star.’”

"I don’t think I have a song worthy of his direction... I was actually just talking with somebody about the Rob Zombie incident ten years ago and I love his films so much, from the Halloween remakes to Devil’s Rejects and House Of 1000 Corpses, they’re all beautiful, even his El Superbeasto cartoons are crazy. He’s just such a talented mind, it’s hard to find something that he would want to jump on. Maybe in the future though, because I would love nothing more than to make a Halloween video with that guy.”

Urie added that he's such a huge fan of Zombie that if he ever expressed an interest in a creative collaboration, he would be happy to write something especially for the project: “I would do something specific. If he had an idea I would work as hard as I could to write a song for that, or do it vice versa.”

Panic! At The Disco, meanwhile, will return to the UK in November for a short run of dates that will take them to London, Manchester and Cardiff. Tickets are on sale now.
