Tilda Swinton to receive posthumous style award on behalf of David Bowie

The late David Bowie was due to receive a style honour from the 2016 Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards in June and it has now been announced that actress Tilda Swinton will collect it on his behalf.

Swinton, who played Bowie's wife in his 2013 music video for 'The Stars (Are Out Tonight)', is set to pick up the prize at the ceremony in New York City next month on June 6.

Actor Michael C. Hall, who is known mostly for his leading role in 'Dexter', was starring in Bowie's off-Broadway musical Lazarus and will also be on hand to pay tribute to the late icon at the event.

As previously reported, actor Harry Goaz, who played Deputy Andy Brennan in David Lynch's 'Twin Peaks', recently admitted that Bowie was set to appear in the show's upcoming revival and it's a shame to think that will no longer happen.
