Becky G makes herself proud: 'I've battled my insecurities and overcome fears'

Hitmaker Becky G has revealed that she is proud of what she has achieved and of the young woman she has become.

The star took to her official Twitter page over the weekend and admitted that she's used to feeling as if she could have 'done better', but she finally feels a sense of achievement and acceptance that is making her so confident and content:

"There's a lot of times I make my family proud... There's a lot of times I make my team proud... Or my fans... Most of the time I walk away feeling like I can do better... But tonight, I cry tears of joy because I'm so happy."

The 'Shower' singer added: "I've overcome so many fears, worked through sleepless nights, battled my own insecurities & the voice in my head that told me I couldn't... Tonight I made myself proud and this shit feels amazing."

Earlier this month, Becky G talked about her film role in the new Power Rangers movie, where she will play yellow ranger Trini Kwan, and told Teen Vogue that her fans will be "surprised" by her character:

"I think my fans can expect something totally different than what they’re used to seeing. I’m a pretty real person, open and whatnot. But for people who may not really be too familiar with my music, I think they see a pop princess always glammed up. You know, pretty all the time. This character is the total opposite of that.”
