Poll: Who is your all-time favourite 'American Idol' star?

'American Idol' has played a huge part in finding new artists in the music industry since 2002 and we want to know who your all-time favourite contestant has been.

The show is now in its final season, but it has produced some amazing talent over the years ranging from Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood to Adam Lambert, Jordin Sparks, Chris Daughtry and David Archuleta.

Our poll is open for votes now and to choose your favourite 'American Idol' star, click here. If your favourite artist isn't listed, you can select 'other' on the poll and enter your own selection. Voting will close on Wednesday, June 1 at 7pm UK time and results will be announced shortly after.

As previously reported, Adam Lambert spoke to Billboard magazine about the fact that 'Idol' will be ending soon and said: "It's an end of an era, Idol will always go down in history for what it is and what it did and what it represents for people. It came long at a time when I think we, as a country, we needed to come together and we needed to believe in something hopeful and give underdogs a chance and celebrate music and the diversity of music in our country. I think they did a great job, and it's time to pack it up."

Music mogul Randy Jackson also talked to the press about the show's imminent end, adding: "We got blessed with all the talent that we went out and found, from Adam Lambert to Carrie Underwood to Kelly Clarkson to Jennifer Hudson to Fantasia Barrino to Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken to Chris Daughtry. I'd like to give us props for doing that because we knew what we were after, what we were looking for, and we were in a little bit of a different position because we'd been in the industry so long and knew the industry so well and had made so many records."
