David Bowie's son Duncan: 'My father was excited about 'Warcraft' film'

Duncan Jones has revealed that prior to his father David Bowie's death, he showed him an early cut of the 'Warcraft' film and was pleased to get the music icon's stamp of approval

Bowie, who died in January following a private battle with cancer, was supportive of his son Duncan's project and was really interested in the film. Duncan told The Daily Beast:

“I showed him an early cut of this and showed him some of the effects shots. You know, for everyone else he was one person. For me, he was my dad. And he was always interested in things I was working on. So I showed him what I was working on, and he was all excited for me and happy that I was doing the thing that I enjoyed doing in my life.”

Last week, Duncan Jones told Nerdist that his father's passing was very hard to deal with, but he was glad they got to say their goodbyes:

"I’m OK, I’m good. I was very fortunate, we got a chance to say our goodbyes. It’s a weird one for me, I don’t really know how to talk about it or what to say about it - other than the fact that we got a chance to say our goodbyes. Weird things make me miss him, but it’s still early days. I’m sure I always will, but it’s tricky. He was a big gravitational pull in my life as far as who I saw myself as. How I separated myself from the world and how I saw myself.”
