Echosmith say their new album is about 'self-worth and really digging into that'

'Cool Kids' hitmakers Echosmith are currently "at the tail end of finishing our second album."

19-year-old frontwoman Sydney Sierota told Billboard magazine that their highly anticipated new record is "Echosmith 2.0, an evolved version of us".

'It’s really fun to express who we are now after this crazy year that we have had," she explained to the publication. "Some of us are really in love for the first time, and we really get to talk about that." Sierota went onto add that some of the tracks they've been crafting are centred around "self-worth and really digging into that."

She also opened up about singing a quick rendition of 'Time After Time' with Fifth Harmony's Ally Brooke, adding that it was a spontaneous thing: "We've been friends for a while, and we were just hanging out. We thought, 'What's a quick thing we can sing?' My dad was in the room and he was like, 'How about 'Time After Time?'" We both knew it so we got on the piano, sang it, recorded it and were like, 'Let's post it.'"
