Rick Astley bags first UK No.1 album in three decades

Rick Astley has bagged his first UK No.1 album in nearly three decades.

The singer's new effort '50' has today (June 17) given the Englishman his first No.1 record in 29 years.

The album - his first in 11 years - was 3,700 units ahead of Tom Odell's fellow new entry 'Wrong Crowd'.

At No.3 on the Official Charts Company list is Paul McCartney's retrospective 'Pure McCartney', while ELO's 'All Over The World' is up a staggering 131 places to No.4 ahead of the band's Glastonbury slot later this month.

Rounding off the top five is Drake's 'Views'.

Beverley Knight's 'Soulsville' debuts at No.9, while Rival Sons' 'Hollow Bones' is in at No.13.

Garbage's sixth album 'Strange Little Birds' debuts at No.17.
