Nathan Sykes hopes The Wanted bandmates are proud of his solo success

'Over and Over Again' singer Nathan Sykes has revealed that he doesn't speak to former bandmates from The Wanted that often, but he hopes they're proud of his solo success.

During an interview with OK! magazine at the Summertime Ball recently, the young musician explained that they're all so busy with their own lives now that the band has split that it's hard to keep in touch, but he would be proud if they were in his position:

"You know what, I heard from Jay on my birthday but he was really busy. When you spend five years together everyone enjoys a break from hearing from each other! We've been basically sleeping in a bed next to each other for most of your life... so yeah."

"I hope so, I hope so. That's a question for them - I can't talk on behalf of them - but if you work with someone for five years and live with them, and eat, sleep and drink with them for five years, I would be... if it was them doing Summertime Ball as a solo artist, I'd be very proud of them."
