Former Sugababes member Amelle Berrabah is a ghostwriter for big artists

Former Sugababes member Amelle Berrabah has revealed that she is still very active within the music industry as a songwriter, but she writes under pseudonyms because the business is "all about politics".

She told BANG Showbiz that one of the songs she wrote recently is still in the Top 40, but she won't reveal the name she wrote it under:

"I don't really tell people who I work with, I have four aliases because being from a girl band it's all about politics. If you like the song then take it, don't do it because I'm from a girl band, so I kind of go under the radar it's great for business. So most people won't even know I've written the song, it's all ghost writing. I've got one at the moment that's still in the charts."

She went onto add that she really enjoys being more behind the scenes and was never too enthused by the idea of fame or celebrity: I've always loved song writing, it's almost a burden on my brain if I don't get it out. I sometime wake up and I'm like 'right I just got to get this out now' so it's a blessing. I love writing for people, I'm not about having attention on me. I don't really care, and I'm not one of those people who craves attention in life I'd rather just chill at home."
