P!nk, Adam Lambert and Britney Spears collaborate on Orlando fundraising song

A large group of music's hottest acts have joined forces to record a new single that will raise money for the victims of the Orlando-based Pulse nightclub massacre.

Gwen Stefani, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Meghan Trainor, Selena Gomez and P!nk have so far all signed up to take part in the fantastic project. The track itself is entitled 'Hands' and it'll be released via Interscope Records in partnership with GLAAD and was created by songwriter Justin Tranter.

Tranter, who has previously written such hits as Justin Bieber's 'Sorry', told press in a statement that money raised from sales of the song will be donated to help families cover medical bills, counselling costs and also for education.

He explained: "We assigned everybody what we thought would be the best part for their voice and we asked them all to sing an additional part, just in case. But everybody got it done in time so we ended up with extra vocals."

"Mary J. Blige recorded in New Orleans. Britney Spears in Thousand Oaks, I think. Pink in Santa Barbara. MNEK recorded at home in London. Selena recorded in her studio bus. Dan Reynolds recorded in his home. Adam Lambert was in Luxembourg. Ty Herndon the country star was in Spain. Kacey Musgraves, Nashville. Everyone just got it done."
