Jared Leto's portrayal of The Joker 'stops the crew' because it's so intense

Singer and actor Jared Leto is on the cover of Entertainment Weekly to promote his role as The Joker in the upcoming movie, 'Suicide Squad'.

This is one of four variations for the current EW issue and he can be seen posing with co-star Margot Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn in the film. 'Suicide Squad' is due to be released on August 5.

The movie's director, David Ayer, told Total Film that when Leto's shooting his scenes, the crew gets so into his performance that they stop and watch:

"What Jared has done is absolutely incredible. When he steps onto the set the world stops. Everything stops. What he’s done is so powerful, so menacing, so palpable, you can feel him. The crew stops working and just watches him. I have to get everybody going again because he’s so fascinating."
