PAS call for Selena Gomez to cancel her Malaysian concertOfficials from the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) Youth have called for Selena Gomez to cancel her concert at the Malawati Indoor Stadium on July 25. Committee chairman Hafez Sabri has explained that the 'Hands To Myself' songstress is provocative and might damage young people's morals by performing in Malaysia: "The presence of the American-born singer, who is synonymous with sexy appearances, would tarnish the sanctity of the month of Syawal which is being celebrated in earnest and further stoke the hedonistic culture among the country's youths." "It is a priority and the responsibility of PAS Youth to ensure that there are no elements which can destroy the younger generation. Hence, we are committed to opposing such a concert." The Asian leg of Gomez's Revival tour will kick off on September 23 in Jakarta, and she will also visit Singapore, Bangkok, Manila and Tokyo on the run.
