George Harrison's estate slams Trump's unauthorised use of 'Here Comes The Sun'

The estate of George Harrison has slammed Donald Trump for using 'Here Comes The Sun' at the recent Republican National Convention.

The iconic track played through the speakers of the Quicken Loans Arena at the political event to welcome Trump's daughter, Ivanka, to the stage and representatives for the late Beatle hit out at the unauthorised use on Twitter:

"The unauthorised use of #HereComestheSun at the #RNCinCLE is offensive & against the wishes of the George Harrison estate."

A second tweet was then shared from the official account, which read: "If it had been Beware of Darkness, then we MAY have approved it! #TrumpYourself."

Earlier this week, Adam Lambert and Queen also expressed their disgust at Trump's use of 'We Are The Champions' at the RNC and in Queen's statement about the incident, they explained that they would not have approved the song for such an event:

"Queen does not want its music associated with any mainstream or political debate in any country. Nor doesQueen want 'We are the Champions' to be used as an endorsement of Mr. Trump and the political views of the Republican Party."
