Britney Spears has announced that her seventh studio album is nearing completion and will be expected for release in March 2011.

The star took to her official Twitter page to make the announcement last night (December 2) – also her 29^th birthday – saying:  "My fans mean the world to me & waking up to all of your wishes really made me smile, so here's something that I hope will make you smile... I'm almost done with my new album and it will be coming out this March. I AM IN L-O-V-E WITH IT!"

The release will be Spears’ first since 2008’s ‘Circus’ which was her fifth album to top the Billboard charts.
