Rocker and award-winning actor Jared Leto has joked that he isn't "at the top of anyone's list for the next romantic comedy".

The star is known for taking on bold roles in edgy movies, such as 'Requiem For A Dream' and 'Dallas Buyers Club', and his latest project is playing The Joker in 'Suicide Squad'. 

Chatting to ShortList magazine about his acting ambitions and methods, Leto explained that he definitely has a unique approach: "I'm aware that a lot of people don't approach their work in the same way I do. But that's OK. Everybody has a different process and I respect other people's processes."

Referring to taking on the iconic role of The Joker, he added: "I guess when you get asked to play The Joker, or certain other roles I've played, it's kind of great that you're getting thought about for these transformational opportunities, these roles that are really challenging. I don't think I'm at the top of anyone's list for the next romantic comedy."
