Sum 41 star full of praise for 5SOS songwriting session

Sum 41 mainman Deryck Whibley has praised two 5 Seconds of Summer members after working with them last year.

The punk-rocker teamed up with Michael Clifford and Calum Hood during sessions for the Aussies' 2015 record 'Sounds Good Feels Good'.

None of their tunes made the final cut, but three tracks - 'Lost In Reality', 'Over And Out' and 'Broken Pieces' - featured as bonus songs in Japan.

Speaking to PunkVideosRock, Whibley said Clifford and Hood were very "involved" in the songwriting process.

He said: "I was really impressed with how much involvment they have.

"They defnitely know what they want. They write on their own and they've got good ideas. They're very, very involved."
