The British Phonographic Industry has announced its latest group of awards and Shawn Mendes has reached a new milestone in the UK this week. 

Canadian musician Shawn Mendes can now celebrate Gold certification as his album "Handwritten" has sold over 100,000 copies. 

Biffy Clyro's album "Ellipsis" has achieved Silver certification after selling 60,000 copies, Rita Ora and DJ Fresh's collaborative single "Hot Right Now" has gone Platinum (600,000), and "Feline" by Ella Eyre has gone Silver. 

The BPI added: "Congrats to @charlieputh, his single 'One Call Away' from the album 'Nine Track Mind' has gone Gold! #bpiAwards."
