Barbra Streisand complained to Apple about Siri pronunciation of her name

Barbra Streisand says she complained to Apple boss Tim Cook about the pronunciation of her name on Siri.

The singer told NPR that the virtual assistant service says her name as if there is a 'z' in it.

Host Scott Simon took out his iPhone and asked: "Siri, who is the only female vocalist who has had hit records for six straight decades?"

It responded "Barbra Strei-zand", with the veteran star saying people have pronounced her name wrong for years.

Streisand then said: "I called the head of Apple, Tim Cook.

"He delightfully agreed to have Siri change the pronunciation of my name, finally, with the next update on September 30. So let's see if that happens because I'll be thrilled.”
