Craig David set to hit No.1 on UK albums chart for first time since 2000

Craig David is currently leading this week's UK albums chart race.

The singer's new effort 'Following My Intuition' is 3,500 units ahead at No.1 on today's (October 3) midweek update.

It he stays put come Friday (October 7), David will have hit No.1 in the UK for the first time since his debut 'Born To Do It' topped the list in 2000.

At No.2 on the midweek update meanwhile is Bon Iver's new entry '22 A Million'.

The Shires' 'My Universe' is a fellow newbie at No.3, while Radiohead’s 'A Moon Shaped Pool' rises 81 places to No.4 after a deluxe re-release.

Rounding off the top five is Van Morrison's new entry 'Keep Me Singing'.

Slaves' 'Take Control' debuts at No.6, Pixies' 'Head Carried' is in at No.7 and 'Sorceress' by Opeth enters at No.9.

Deacon Blue's 'Believers' is a new entry at No.12, while Regina Spektor's 'Remember Us To Life' is in at No.28.
