Piers Morgan criticises Justin Bieber for pulling 'ego-fuelled diva tantrum'

Piers Morgan thinks Justin Bieber's recent on-stage walk-off due to screaming fans was a "diva tantrum".

The singer recently dropped his microphone at a show in Manchester and left the stage because his audience wouldn't be quiet in between songs.

While he soon after returned to the stage, Bieber has been criticised by some - and this now includes Piers Morgan.

Writing in the Daily Mail, the broadcaster said he found the singer to be polite and respectful when he first met him in 2011.

However, Morgan wrote that Bieber threw a "gigantic, ego-fuelled, cocky, diva tantrum of epic proportions" at the show.

He concluded: "What’s disappointing about his behaviour this past week is that he’s not a teenage kid any more.

"He’s now a grown man who’s been given a rare second chance to enjoy the highly lucrative hanging fruits of superstardom and he should be more appreciative of that fact than he appears to be.

"The fans screaming at him or begging him to sing not prattle on about the purpose of life are the ones who stood by him in his time of need.

"He owes them the very respect he is indignantly, selfishly demanding for himself."
