Katy Perry nabs No 1 with ‘Firework’

Katy Perry has shot to the top of the US Billboard Charts this week with her smash single ‘Firework’. The placing makes the tune the third chart-topper to come from the singer’s latest album ‘Teenage Dream’.

‘Firework’ overtook last week’s number one, Pink’s ‘Raise Your Glass’, to top with Billboard Hot 100 while Rihanna’s venture with Drake, ‘What’s My Name’ sat at number three and the Black Eyed Peas’ ‘The Time (Dirty Bit)’ was in at number four.

‘Grenade’ from Bruno Mars came up at five.

In support of her wildly successful album, Perry will be touring next year.
