Charli XCX has released her first new song since her 'Vroom Vroom' EP back in February.

Given that this weekend is Halloween party time, the timing of the catchy track is aptly titled ‘After the Afterparty’.

The radio-friendly track features the Georgia rapper Lil Yachty and was produced by London's electronic-based producer, Sophie.

In a Beats 1 interview, Charli revealed that the collaboration came about after she hit up Lil Yachty on Twitter in a DM. She admitted that she was surprised to learn that he was a fan of her previous album, ‘Sucker’. 

The British singer-songwriter is currently working on her follow up to her 2014 album.

After sharing the new track, she tweeted:
