Beyoncé, The Weeknd and John Legend secure places on EBONY's Power 100

EBONY magazine has unveiled its Power 100 list and it features some of music's hottest names at the moment.

Beyoncé's sister Solange secured herself a spot on the chart as did "Starboy" hitmaker The Weeknd, Chance the Rapper, singer-songwriter John Legend, rapper Nas, Lupe Fiasco and Donald Glover.

Billboard reports that EBONY editor-in-chief, senior VP and head of digital editorial Kyra Kyles, issued a statement on the Power 100:

"These 100 individuals are not only authoring their own success stories, they are leveraging their platforms in order to improve various facets of black life and render us visible on the world stage. This issue reflects how important it is for our influencers to be focused on our collective community and also on opening doors for others. This is a philosophy our cover stars embody. Power is nothing if it is not shared.”
