Sting has announced two UK live shows due to take place next year in support of his new album '57th and 9th'.

The musician will perform in Manchester and London in April as part of a world tour, which will also visit some other European cities.

The first UK date will take place at Manchester's O2 Apollo on February 7, with Sting taking to the stage at London's Eventim Apollo a day later. Tickets for the two shows will go on general sale from 10am on November 18.

Sting meanwhile reopened the Bataclan venue in Paris this weekend, one year after 89 people were shot in the venue in a terror attack while Eagles of Death Metal performed.
