Justin Bieber set for AMAs performance with a twist

Canadian superstar Justin Bieber has been added to the list of live performers for this year's American Music Awards, but his slot will be a little different than the rest. 

The star will perform live from his Purpose tour in Zurich, Switzerland and it will be broadcast at the ceremony, which is due to take place on Sunday, November 20 in Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theatre. This will mark Bieber's sixth time performing at the AMAs.

The "Let Me Love You" hitmaker is also nominated for a number of trophies, including Favourite Male Artist — pop/rock, Favourite Album — pop/rock, Favourite Song — pop/rock as well as the show's top honour, Artist of the Year.

Other performers at the 2016 AMAs include Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, John LegendJames BayFifth HarmonyLady GagaGreen DayBruno Mars, and Twenty One Pilots. There will also be a duet from The Chainsmokers ft. Halsey
