Acts such as The Vamps and Shawn Mendes have triumphed in a new end-of-year poll run by UK radio station Capital FM.

The Vamps were named Best Group, Mendes won the Best Male section and Little Mix's 'Glory Days' was picked as the top album of the year.

Zayn's 'Pillowtalk' reigned in the Best Single section, while Ariana Grande bagged the Best Female accolade and Zara Larsson got the Breaker prize. Little Mix also won the Best Live Show honour.

Mendes won again in the Best Live Session Cover category for his mash-up of Drake's 'One Dance' and 'Marvin's Room' earlier this year.
