Camila Cabello on 5H: 'People tried to sexualise us for attention'

Songstress Camila Cabello recently appeared on Lena Dunham's Women of the Hour podcast and opened up about her experience of being in Fifth Harmony

The 'Bad Things' star recently quit the girl group, but explained that one of things about being part of it that made her unhappy was constantly being over-sexualised:

'Especially with being a girl group, there's been a lot of times where people have tried to sexualise us to just get more attention. Unfortunately, sex sells."

Cabello also gave a word of advice to young women who might find themselves in similar situations and confessed that they need to be able to say no if they feel uncomfortable or uncertain about something: "There's definitely been times where there's stuff that I have not been comfortable with and I've had to put my foot down. I think the thing that I would say to young women is, if you're not ready for it, put your foot down."
