The Wanted record Comic Relief track

Boyband The Wanted have recorded this year's single for Comic Relief.

The chart-topping five piece will release the charity song, 'Gold Forever', through iTunes next month on March 13 to raise money following the Red Nose Day event. 

One of the members Max George explained:

"This song is about a day in your life that you never forget."

"It's an upbeat, feel-good track and our favourite so far. We're really excited to get it out there, and delighted that it is supporting such a great cause."

Bandmate Jay McGuiness also added:

"We grew up watching it as kids and to be involved is crazy but an absolute honour."

The Wanted will perform 'Gold Forever' during the Comic Relief TV telethon on March 18 and you can check it out below:
