Demi Lovato has released a video dedicated to her fans, in which she thanks them for their continued support during her "darkest time". 

Sitting in the living room of her home, the star explained what she has been through:

"The journey that I've been on has been very, very difficult over the past few months. I was dealing with issues that I know not only girls just my age, but all ages, are dealing with."

"I hope to one day raise awareness of everything."

She continued her heartfelt message with gratitude and added:

"I can't tell you how much light you guys brought into my life in probably the darkest time in my life. Without you guys, I probably wouldn't be here today."
