Pop princess Britney Spears has put her celebrity to good use and has signed up to be an ambassador of The St. Bernard Project (SBP). 

The charity is a non-profit organisation that strives to help rebuild the homes in New Orleans that were devastated by Hurricane Katrina. The 'Hold It Against Me' singer tweeted a message in the early hours of this morning, May 3, asking fans to donate to the worthwhile cause. 

SBP has set up a system where people can text the word 'BRITNEY' direct from their mobile phones to give $10 to the charity in the ongoing fundraising efforts. Watch Spears' dance cut version of her video for 'Till The World Ends' below:
