Music stars win big at the Webby awards

Music stars Arcade Fire, Snoop Dogg, Justin Bieber and LL Cool J were amongst the big winners at last night's (May 3) Webby awards.

It was the fifteenth annual celebration of the Webbys, an awards ceremony which focuses solely on internet sites and online achievements, and Canadian teen sensation Justin Bieber won the People's Voice prize for his hilarious April 1 takeover of FunnyOrDie.com. The 'Never Say Never' star tweeted about the news this morning:

"wooohoooo. we did it @ConanOBrien we did it. #webbys. @collegehumor never #$*% with the BIEBS!! :)"

Also representing Canada were Arcade Fire who walked away with the Webby and People's Voice award for their innovative music video for 'We Used To Wait (The Wilderness Downtown)', which employed Google and 3D technology to create an impressive moving sequence and narrative.

Snoop Dogg and LL Cool J scored a People's Voice Webby for their Funny Or Die video, 'Snoop Dogg vs LL Cool J: The Ultimate Halo Smack Down', which shows the pair in an entertaining online video game battle.
