	  <title><![CDATA[Azerbaijan win Eurovision]]></title>
	  <description><![CDATA[<p>This year&rsquo;s Eurovision song contest was quite an upset last night (May 14), as bookie favourites France, Ireland and the UK ended up with mid-table results while Azerbaijan took the title.</p>
<p>Although the competition in Dusseldorf was viewed in the UK as a battle of boy bands, with 00s group Blue behind the Union Jack and twins <a href="/pg/profile/johnandedward/">Jedward </a>up for Ireland, Europe seemed to disagree and voted heavily for power-pop duo Ell and Nikki&rsquo;s romantic duet &lsquo;Running Scared&rsquo;.</p>
<p>Favourite to win, Amaury Vassili of France, came in 15th place while outsiders Italy managed to shock everyone by landing in at second place.</p>
