Swedish House Mafia say music scene is being destroyed

Swedish House Mafia, who shot to fame with their Tinie Tempah collaboration 'Miami 2 Ibiza', have accused producers of "raping house music".

The dance collective are tired of house tracks being dumbed down and exploited for the purpose of pop music and member Axwell told The Daily Star the scene is being destroyed and aimed the comment at Jennifer Lopez who recently sampled the Lambada in her chart-topping song 'On The Floor':

"All this chewing-gum child sh*t will destroy the house scene. It happened before in 1998 with the filtered house disco stuff. When you start using the Lambada and novelty songs it’s like raping house music."

"It’s gone further away from what it was meant to be. It’s pretty dark what some artists are doing.”
