‘Progress’ a “piece of piss” says Robbie

While other members such as Mark Owen were getting the pre-tour jitters, Robbie Williams declared Take That’s new monster ‘Progress’ tour to be “a piece of piss”.

In an interview with the Telegraph published today (May 29), the band spoke about their tour shortly before it began, with the ever-confident prodigal son Robbie Williams saying: “This show’s a piece of piss. It really is. Hit after hit after hit after hit after hit.”

Bandmate Gary Barlow, however, sees the work that lies ahead: “It’s a tricky job,” he said. “There’s five of us. We’ve all got our little family trees leaving here every day. It’s a hard balance to get us out on the road for three months. It’s a big job. It’s a big job.”

The interview with the band also reaffirmed that the reunion between Robbie and his old bandmates is likely not a permanent one – as Barlow stated earlier this year on Radio 2 that “we still see our future as a four-piece band.” Mark Owen revealed to the Telegraph “Rob’s gonna be doing something himself, hopefully in the next year.”
