Chemical Brothers are up for a Glastonbury laser challenge

The Chemical Brothers have promised a laser battle with fellow UK stars Coldplay over the weekend as they both prepare to take the stage at Glastonbury Festival. 

Speaking to BBC's Newsbeat, the 'Galvanize' duo explained that both acts have plans for stellar light shows so it will be a challenge to see who goes that extra mile:

"There'll be a big run on lasers that weekend,"

"We're both big lasers bands. I always really like that Coldplay are really keen on lasers. It's one thing they have in common with us. I'm sure their laser budget is fairly substantial."

Both bands will perform at the same time on Saturday, June 25 and Coldplay will headline the Pyramid Stage while Chemical Brothers will rock the Other Stage. Watch Chemical Brothers' fantastic live stage show from a previous run at Glastonbury here:
