Leona Lewis makes a comeback with the release of new single

Leona Lewis will debut her new single ‘Collide’ on Radio 1 today, July 15.

The former X Factor champion has already been praised by critics for releasing an upbeat, Ibiza-style dance track,  instead of the power ballads she has become known for.

The new song was penned by Autumn Rowe and produced by Sandy Vee. Rowe also wrote Alexis Jordan’s ‘Happiness’ and Cher Lloyd’s latest, ‘Swagger Jagger’. Vee is also known for his work with David Guetta, Rihanna, and Katy Perry.

Lewis said in an interview: “I’m excited for people to see a different side to my music. It’s reminiscent of a summer romance, meeting someone and feeling an instant chemistry."

"The past two years, I have had a lot of situations thrown at me. It has made me realise I am much stronger than I thought I was. I've been through a lot of changes and making this new album has been really therapeutic. am so focused and ready to share my music."
