Slash returns home to Stoke-on-Trent

The iconic guitarist Slash will return to his hometown of Stoke-on-Trent next week to perform in front of a 1,500 strong crowd at local venue Victoria Hall. 

The Guns N' Roses star, real name Saul Hudson, left the city for Los Angeles at the age of six and hasn't been back since, but will play a special set to an audience made up of family friends and hardcore fans after the tickets sold out in under 2 hours. 

Ann Epsley, a cousin of the legend's father, gave a brief interview to The Guardian and explained how she used to take young Slash on bus rides into the city centre:

"I am so looking forward to the gig. I have VIP tickets so will get to meet him backstage after. I last saw him when he very little. He was a very cute child, with beautiful hair, but quite boisterous."
