Moby's drum machine obsession

Moby used his new album, 'Destroyed', to exercise his passion for antique drum machines.

The electro-ambient star admits that he probably owns the "world's largest collection of antique drum machines" and decided to work them into his new material because he has an "irrational love for old technology":

"I presumptuously maintain that I have the world's largest collection of antique drum machines. On the new album, 'Destroyed', almost every song involves some old drum machine just because I have a weird irrational love for old technology."

"And there are a lot of people who collect old synths, but there are very few people who collect old drum machines. I basically think it's me, Martin Gore from Depeche Mode and some guy in Japan."
