The singer and guitarist quit the group back in 2005 and went on to enjoy a successful run in a band named Fightstar, but has now decided to go it alone and is preparing to launch his debut solo career. Speaking to BBC's Newsbeat about his past, Simpson said:

"For me Busted is a lifetime ago, it has no relevance to my life right now. Not in a million years would we reform. I don't see the point in talking about it."
