Ms. Dynamite is currently working on new music and has revealed that over the years she has learned that it's good to showcase a sense of vulnerability instead of maintaining a tough front. 

Known for her edgy track, 'Dy-na-mi-tee', and most recently her collaboration with Katy B on 'Lights On', the 30-year-old star told BBC's Newsbeat that her transition back into music has been surprisingly easy and now that she's a mother is more open to writing emotional and softer songs.

Talking about a new song in particular, 'Neva Soft', she said:

"If I made a tune five years ago called 'Neva Soft' it'd have been all hard. But I've [learned] that being Neva Soft is about being able to stand up and say 'yeah sometimes I'm vulnerable, sometimes I feel like crying.'"

"I didn't expect my journey back in to be as easy and as quick and as amazing as it has been but I never doubted."

"Music is a part of who I am, so I never doubted that when I decided I wanted to be back in that position I could get back to it."

She also added that now she's back on the scene, her eight-year-old son is enjoying meeting his musical idols, "now all of a sudden I'm a cool mum, not because I did a great show and not because he got to stand on the stage with all these screaming girls."
