Olly Murs goes back to his "early X Factor style" on new album

Olly Murs has revealed that his forthcoming album will showcase a real change in sound.

The singer has started to be known more for his reggae-inspired style as heard on 'Thinking Of Me' instead of the vocal styling that propelled him to fame during the X Factor, but he explained to the Daily Star newspaper that it's important for him to keep surprising his fans:

"I’ve actually gone back to my early X Factor style when I was covering Stevie Wonder, a more soulful and funky vibe. For the album we’ve gone in another direction. It’s back to how I was on the show when people first saw me.”

"I’m not a typical X Factor contestant. People were surprised by the reggae sound and now I’m surprising people again. That’s what pop stars should do, be creative and surprise people.”
