2011's American Idol winner, Scotty McCreery, has revealed that once his debut album has been released he plans to return to his education. 

The talented 17-year-old star will unveil his first record, 'Clear As Day', on October 4 and told Good Morning America today (August 12) that he doesn't want to "miss out" on school experiences:

"We've been recording non-stop since the finale and I'm very proud of it. After the album I'm going back to school. It's my senior year and I'm not going to miss out on those memories... I'll still be working."
