Google reveals that Amy Winehouse's death was most searched summer topic

In new figures released by Google, it has been confirmed that the most searched for subject this summer was the death of Amy Winehouse

The statistics, as published in The Sun newspaper today (August 22), showed the top ten Googled topics over the past couple of months and topping the list at No.1 was the untimely death of the 'Tears Dry On Their Own' singer, who traigcally passed away on July 23. 

Also in the top 10 was chart newcomer Ed Sheeran, who made an appearance at No.6 after storming the UK's music market with his debut single 'The A Team'. 

In the 'Top Celeb Searches' category, Victoria and David Beckham's new baby daugher took the lead after her unusual name, Harper Seven, became an international talking point in July.
