Louis Walsh slams Cheryl Cole and Cher Lloyd

Louis Walsh has given an outspoken interview in which he reveals his personality clash with Cher Lloyd and lack of surprise at Cheryl Cole's failure in the U.S.

The star, who is currently acting as a judge on the new season of The X Factor, spoke to Heat magazine about both the past contestant and now-replaced mentor and explained he felt that Cole's lack of success in America was down to the fact that "she wasn't up to it":

"I think if you go and do the X Factor in America you've got to be prepared to really work and you have to play the game and work the room and wear all the right clothes and do all the right things. I don't think Cheryl did that. I don't think she was in the right place to do that. She wasn't up to it."

Talking specifically about the 'Swagger Jagger' singer, Lloyd, he added:

"Cher Lloyd and me are like oil and water. I just didn't like her attitude backstage. It was like she thought she was a pop star. She got very big for her boots and had no likeability factor."
