Calvin Harris pulls out of festival gigs due to illness

Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris had to cancel his Bank Holiday shows after falling ill with salmonella.

He was due to perform at the sold-out festival, Creamfields (Daresbury), on Saturday, August 27 and again on Sunday 28 in Middlesborough. But unfortunately Harris had to cancel both gigs after contracting food poisoning.

In a string of tweets, he posted:

"Really sorry guys who wanted to see me at Creamfields today (and) middlesborough (sic) tonight, i've had to cancel i've got really bad food poisoning. I managed to do Creamfields on Sat but i can't lie it was a massive struggle and i've been in bed ever since...! Hope you understand"

"Turns out it's salmonella by the way. Got through 2 and a half bog rolls (toilet tissue) through the night."
