Former Spice Girl superstar Mel C has said that she's proud to see girl power still dominating the UK music scene.

The 'Wannabe' hitmaker explained to the Daily Star that the sheer amount of female homegrown talent is overwhelming and she's glad that women are still rocking Britain's airwaves in 2011:

"It’s great for women and a really exciting time for music. But being a Spice Girl it’s great to see the rise again of Girl Power."

She also spoke specifically about two artists, namely Adele and Jessie J, and praised them as "incredible vocalists":

“Adele is fantastic because her success is really based on her wonderful talent. Jessie J and Adele are both incredible vocalists with great songs.”
