Sir Elton John has revealed plans to make a biopic on his incredible life. 

The iconic musician and star confirmed that he has teamed up with playwright Lee Hall and Steve Hamilton Shaw to create a film based on his personal story that will be called 'Rocketman'. 

Producer Shaw told the Evening Standard about the exciting project and explained that they plan for it to be "radically different":

"'Rocketman' will be a radically different kind of biopic. It will be as unique as Elton's life, told in a non-linear and hyper-visual manner that will transport people through the many intense experiences, some wonderful, some not, that helped define Elton as an artist, musician and man."

Although no details have been released about potential lead actors, Sir Elton did tease that one movie star has offered himself up for the role:

"Well James McAvoy could do it. He's already offered."
