Spice Girl Emma Bunton has been sporting a neck brace in an attempt to ease the pain she feels upon waking. 

The star explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper that after sleeping awkwardly not so long ago, she has been unable to shake off the discomfort so decided to bring in a bit of extra support despite it not being a fashion friendly accessory:

"I've been sporting a bit of an odd fashion choice this week. It's a neck brace! And it's getting in the way of my dance moves! I just can't get rid of it. I've had so many emails and ideas about how to make it better."

She also posted a photograph of the offending item on her official Twitter account and joked that it's a look that probably won't "catch on":

"My neck is still sore, have to wear a neck brace!!! Don't think this fashion trend will catch on!"
